The way i see it is no news is good news so if he didn't say anything negative about it then you're good!

iff he didnt like it he'd either say it bluntly, imply it bluntly or say something like ';what's that smell?';
He might not have noticed? Men don't have as strong a sense of smell as women. Or he might just not realize it's something important.
he maybe haven't noticed it yet. give him some time, maybe he will say something.
